Overview

Anthropology studies humans throughout time, from evolution to present day. It sparks our curiosity and seeks to answer the questions we鈥檝e always wondered, like where we come from and what it means to be human.

The anthropology minor at Illinois State takes a deep dive into these questions and the journey to get answers is fascinating. You鈥檒l learn how anthropology has major impacts on issues we face today, such as poverty, health, and social justice.

As an anthropology minor, you鈥檒l study cultures, language, and artifacts from the ancient past. You鈥檒l also get a solid foundation in human behavior. Our program looks at historical events and environmental factors that influence how people behave.
